HI all, partners dads car developed a problem - 1.8 petrol auto/semisequencial on a '05' plate. She tells me the car drives fine, no problems with gear change, but the dash display is not showing any details (d-r-1-2-3-n etc etc). Been told may be the display unit has failed (mdi unit), and im thinking this if changed will requiring coding to the car, so what im asking here, anyone come across the same problem? Hoping to see the car soon to do the basics 'fuses' etc, then looking into acquiring opcom to see if that can tell me anything. Views and comments appreiated and welcomed. Hi all, took me snappy to my partners dads motor - easytronic gearbox system and pulled a code: P1722 gear selector serial data The car drives fine, changing gear automatically and manually, the problem is the digi display in the dash clocks is not illuminated in away, no letters or numbers etc, ive now bought myself a opcom but now need a laptop to load it to, so if my snappy fails i can do more with the opcom system. Off to do some internet searching, unless anyone would like to point me in a direction for investigation, all views appreaited.
Merry christmass to you all.
